Our Partners

People often ask why a grammar school in an affluent area like Beaconsfield needs and wants the support of local businesses. With growing student numbers, in a school that is over 55 years old, capital projects like a new sixth form space and, previously, new school toilets and a refurbished cafeteria, are vital. But aside from the financial aspect, I see an incredible amount of value in local links that work both ways.

Tina Bond - Beaconsfield High Headteacher

For us, partnering with local businesses means more than the expectation of a financial donation. Of course, donations are one of the reasons we approach local businesses, but they are not the only reason. We believe the experience these organisations can offer our students is also invaluable. For example, in the past, we have worked with organisations that have:

  • Supported our Student Leadership Team
  • Given talks at our careers events
  • Offered internships
  • Provided scholarships which help with I.T. and course literature costs
  • Volunteered their time as designers
  • Offered technical expertise
  • Judged school competitions
  • Provided high-end prizes for school fundraising events
  • Donated I.T equipment and office furniture.

If working with the highly talented students (and staff!) is something you’d like to explore, we’d love to talk to you. Contact Sarah Melvin, our Communications and Development Manager, on 01494 673043 or send her an email.

Why not have a look at some of the partners we are or have previously worked with:

Knight Frank

Knight Frank Estate Agents in Beaconsfield agreed to be the main sponsor of both our annual Sport and Dance Awards Dinner at the Old Town Hall and the annual Friends of Beaconsfield High Christmas Fair in 2023 and 2024.

We are so excited to be able to sponsor this wonderful school event. We feel it is important to give back to the local community and there is nothing better than the fabulous local schooling here in Beaconsfield! We are looking forward to helping Beaconsfield High School with future fundraising events.

The school hosts some wonderful events throughout the year that we love getting involved with, bringing the community together and building a long-lasting relationship within the community. The progress made so far has been brilliant to see, and we are excited to support the school further in its future plans.

Chiltern Rangers

Using their extensive conservation skills and experience, Chiltern Rangers have worked with our Head Girl and our Eco Committee on the regeneration of our school pond.

They kicked-off the regeneration project by spending a cold January day with us advising and leading the first stage of the pond clearance. They have agreed to continue working with us until the pond is back to its former glory.

Previously, a group of our Year 12s volunteer on Wednesday afternoons at their High Wycombe headquarters, helping to regenerate Kingsmead for the local community. They were even interviewed about their volunteering work with Chiltern Rangers for BBC Radio 4's Open Country, listen below!

We have been partnering with Beaconsfield High since the autumn and have been really impressed with things so far. Each Wednesday, a small but dedicated group of sixth formers work on an environmental improvement project on Kingsmead in High Wycombe. The students are incredibly passionate about making a difference to the local environment. This is crucial because for big environmental challenges to be met, we need young people to commit to changing our society now. Our partnership with BHS is a great first step, and we look forward to doing even more with them in the future.

The Bushcraft Company

The Bushcraft Company is an Oxford-based company offering residential school trips with a difference. To date, 1000+ Year 7 Becky High students have enjoyed Bushcraft residentials over the last six years. They have also financially supported the annual Christmas Fair for the last two years and our new AstroTurf in 2017.

As a father of two girls, I am passionate about building resilience in young people. My businesses focus on character development in young people and my partnership with Rachel Smith and the team at Beaconsfield High gave me the opportunity to encourage their students to push themselves to achieve more, be resourceful, deal with setbacks, take risks and ultimately to do their best and be the best they can be.

Nigel Miller - Executive Chairman at The Bushcraft Company

Savills Estate Agents

Chris Moorhouse and the team in the Beaconsfield Office of Savills Estate Agents generously donated the funds to purchase a much-needed covered bike shelter which will be welcomed by all staff and students who cycle to school, cubed seating around the school pond, and a rainbow wrap that will brighten up the locker shelter in Maddy’s Garden.

Bovingdons Estate Agents

Bovingdons is a Beaconsfield-based company that came on board in May 2021. Their generous donation funded lighting and statement planting in Maddy's Garden, a beautiful space created in memory of one of our Year 9s who sadly passed away in May 2019. They also advertise in the programme for our annual Dance Show at Wycombe Swan and sponsor the inflatable finishing line at our 2023 and 2024 Fancy Dress 5Ks at Hall Barn Estate.

Bovingdons is proud to sponsor the lighting and statement plating in Maddy’s Garden, a central area within the school in special memory of one of their students. As the local independent estate agent, we like to get involved within the community and what better way than to sponsor a dedicated space for students to relax at Beaconsfield High School.
