Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is additional funding to help schools close the attainment gap between students from low-income and other disadvantaged families and their peers. The Government believes that the pupil premium is the best way to address the current inequalities between students eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers. Beaconsfield High School receives funding for students eligible for FSM, or who have been eligible at any time over the last six years (known as ‘Ever 6 FSM’), students whose parents are serving in the armed forces or students who are in care, adopted from care or ‘looked after’.

Free School Meals
It is important that every student has access to effective support in every area relating to their academic and personal development and wellbeing. A healthy meal during the day is a key part of ensuring this, and the Government has consequently made provision for schools to facilitate this aspect of support. If you think your child may be eligible for Free School Meals, please read on. There is an introductory letter and application form at the bottom of this page, and you can contact us to ask any questions you have via pupilpremium@beaconsfieldhigh.bucks.sch.uk.
The government recognises the benefits of providing a healthy school meal to the most disadvantaged pupils. The Education Act 1996 requires maintained schools and academies (including free schools) to provide free school meals to disadvantaged pupils who are aged between 5 and 16 years old. DFE Gov.UK
