Work and Train with Us
When you join us, you become part of an institution that directly influences the futures of some of the most outstanding young people in the area.
We are one of the top schools in the county for our A-Level and GCSE results, and our students’ co-curricular development and self-motivated learning is unsurpassed. Academic development for every student is our priority. We deliver this with a combination of exceptional teaching, dedicated support staff, a progressive attitude to delivering challenging learning and an evolving environment that brings with it a community of motivated, successful students.
However, academic success is not gained in isolation. We believe that the keystone to a student’s time with us, and the guarantee of future accomplishments, is our focus on nurturing, well-being and safeguarding. In tutors, teachers, Heads of Learning and their peers, students find support and guidance through the many stages of secondary school education and growing up, a foundation that enables them to strive for the remarkable.
Our learning environment plays a huge part in the development of our students. We offer university-grade science laboratories, ICT-enabled classrooms, a dance studio, floodlit astro, multi-subject computer rooms, a design studio, a food technology room, drama studios and large art spaces. We are constantly investing in our facilities to ensure our students excel, whatever the subject.
Why work with us?
- In 2024, we ranked 7th in The Times’ best secondary and grammar schools in the southeast.
- We are committed to the induction and professional development of all staff and have a genuinely developmental Professional Development Process (appraisal).
- We benefit from London Fringe Allowance and the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.
- We have a team of specialist and committed teachers and a highly effective SEND team.
- Our staff are collaborative and support each other to be their best; it is difficult to say whether the best thing about working at Becky High is the students or staff!

Staff Stories
Every week we run a profile of a member of staff, a bite-size interview which tells you a little more about them!
Staff perks
Without highly capable, committed and inspirational staff, Beaconsfield High would not be the remarkable school it is. We value each and every person who works here, regardless of their position within the school and are proud to offer the following staff perks in addition to the benefits offered to all school staff further down the page.
Becky High Perks
Attend your child’s primary sports day
We know these almost always take place during the school day, but providing you notify your line manager, you are free to cheer on the egg and spoon race or join in the parents' race on your child's big day.
Christmas and end-of-year socials
The perfect opportunity to celebrate the end of the autumn term and the end of the school year! In the past, we have enjoyed celebrations at Brasserie Blanc, The White Horse and The Beech House, and in the summer, a catered party with a bar, in Maddy's Garden!
Good Eggs and Christmas Stars
At the end of the autumn and spring term, staff are asked to nominate colleagues who they think have gone the extra mile and deserve special recognition. These people receive a letter to say they have been nominated and may also win a little treat too! At Christmas, the Governors serve mulled wine and fizz at these events, in recognition of all the hard-work staff have put in!
Government approved additional non-inset ‘Academy Days’
These are non-working days in addition to inset days.
Health Assured coverage
An employee assistance programme providing advice on a range of issues including family issues, gambling, drug and alcohol issues, domestic abuse, stress and anxiety, relationship advice, financial, tax and legal information and bereavement. Counselling is offered both in person and over the telephone. To log in click here. Full details on accessing this service can be found in the email sent out by Tina Bond in October.
New staff ‘buddies’
When you join us, you will be given a buddy who will be your go-to person during your first couple of weeks, showing you important things like how to work the photocopier, the phone system, cafeteria protocol, where the toilets are and much more. You can ask them anything........ok almost anything!

Nominations take place during October - February, with finalists being announced in March.
Secret Buddies
Every academic year you can choose to receive a Secret Buddy who you buy small gifts for from a list of preferences and interests, in return, another member does the same for you. We recommend a spend of £5/ term, so you could buy 5 gifts costing £1, 2 for £2.50 or one gift for £5! You can also leave notes thanking your Secret Buddy on the staff noticeboard!
